Canon RF 7-14mm Fisheye FIRST RESULTS Underwater Photos & 4K Video // 200DL Underwater Housing [VIDEO]

Footage by: Nirupam Nigam, Ken Kiefer, and John Brigham

WOW this lens has shot straight to the top of our favorites list! Advances in digital camera technology over the past 20 years or so have made it possible to get great photos and video with almost any system. But still there are a handful of cameras and lenses that just make it extra enjoyable, that have you coming from back from your dive feeling like I GOT THAT.

The new Canon RF 7-14mm f/2.8-3.5 L Fisheye lens is definitely one of those products for us. This lens is incredibly sharp underwater behind a dome port, with a field of view that allows you to get extra close. Reducing the distance between the front of the lens and the intended subject of your imaging is like clearing a fog - it's essential for underwater images with color, clarity, and insane detail.

As a bonus, the 7-14mm is relatively compact and easy to set-up with rear loading in either DL or DLM systems.

Ken Kiefer Ikelite AmbassadorAmbassador Ken Kiefer has had a love of the water and nature since his younger days surfing in Corpus Christi, Texas. He got his first breath of compressed air while lifeguarding and was immediately hooked. Ken spends his professional life in and around a pool, which provides a handy spot to work on underwater photography and lighting techniques. But his passion is the ocean, and his favorite subjects are sharks (and his wife, Ambassador Kimber Kiefer). Read more...

John Brigham Ikelite Vice PresidentJohn Brigham is the Vice President & head of product development at Ikelite. He was born with a flair for design and an entrepreneurial spirit as son of Ikelite founder Ike Brigham. He worked his way up in the business and is a natural fit in the R&D side of things. John dives the equipment as much as possible to test product and put himself in the "fins" of the user.
