Finally a New Fisheye for Underwater! // Introducing the Canon RF 7-14mm Lens [VIDEO] Ikelite Underwater Systems

To say we're excited about the new Canon RF 7-14mm F2.8-3.5 L Fisheye STM lens is an understatement. Fisheye lenses are generally the best tools for super sharp wide angle imaging underwater, and the mirrorless world has been lacking a bespoke fisheye zoom. The long wait is over with the announcement of this new offering from Canon.

Fisheye lenses are a staple in underwater photography. Not only are they incredibly wide, and tack sharp edge to edge, they give a nice natural representation of the underwater scene.

Until now we've been using a 16-year-old F/4 version of a fisheye lens designed for DSLR bodies using an RF-mount adapter. But the new Canon RF 7-14mm fisheye lens is finally here and it's faster at F/2.8 to 3.5. This lens brings modern optics and current autofocus technology to our Canon RF full frame and crop sensor cameras. And on top of all that, we get a wider field of view.

We are eagerly awaiting this lens, so be prepared for full support in your Ikelite system. Make sure you subscribe to our Weekly Newsletter that way you can stay posted when we have developments ready to announce.
