I specialize in travel and landscape photography by land, sea, and sky. I love to get out and explore new places nearby or abroad and capture my experiences as I go. I greatly enjoy diving and try to go on weekends often with a small group of folks from my local dive shop. I’ve gone diving in both fresh water and off the coast of New England. I’ve had the opportunity to dive abroad in places like Bonaire and the Bahamas, and hope to dive more incredible locations in the future!
"Caribbean Reef Octopus" It's around 8:00 AM, no one was nearby for me to wave over when I spotted this shy octopus. Luckily, he didn't seem too bothered, and I got some great one-on-one time for 15 minutes! Eleuthera, Bahamas. © Sam St. Pierre

"Bottom Feeding" A large southern stingray was gliding along the bottom around 75 feet, kicking up sand looking for a snack. I got down low to the bottom to get a photo at his perspective. Eleuthera, Bahamas. © Sam St. Pierre
"Anyone Home?" A little fish peeked out of an unoccupied conch shell. I saw the opportunity and had to snap a photo. The 50 & 20-mm port extensions were helpful to allow me to zoom in close without scaring this little guy away. Exuma Cays, Bahamas. © Sam St. Pierre
"Social Feather Duster" This was also growing on the plane wreck, it danced gracefully back and forth in the current. Exuma Cays, Bahamas. © Sam St. Pierre
"Yellow-Headed Jawfish" I lied on the bottom for twenty minuted without moving a muscle and watching for this shy jawfish to emerge from it's home. It noticed me, but didn't seem to wary after a while, emerging fully for me to get this shot. Exuma Cays, Bahamas. © Sam St. Pierre
"Plane Wreck" This wreck is known as Smuggler's Plane, a wreck of a drug smuggler depicted in the show Narcos. It's incredible to see so much of the twin props in such a recognizable condition. Exuma Cays, Bahamas. © Sam St. Pierre
"Light Finds the Deep" A purple-tipped anemone growing on a wreck waves back and forth in the current. I snapped this photo just as sunlight penetrated through the water hitting the anemone just right. Exuma Cays, Bahamas. © Sam St. Pierre
"Lettuce Sea Slug" This little slug was spotted in between two massive coral heads close enough to each other to make barely any room to pass through. It was mesmerizing to watch it move around, it looks so much like it's environment! Eleuthera, Bahamas. © Sam St. Pierre
"Feeding Frenzy" This was taken during a live feed. Sharks and yellowtail snappers circled the anchored bait chunk in a feeding frenzy for about half an hour. I've never been in the presence of so many sharks in my life. © Sam St. Pierre
"Red-Tipped Sea Goddess" This nudibranch was hanging out underneath part of the plane wreck. It's red-tipped appendages where moving quickly and constantly. Exuma Cays, Bahamas. © Sam St. Pierre
