Featuring John Brigham
Capturing the most exciting moments underwater can really drain your mirrorless camera's battery - especially if you're shooting high definition 4K or 8K video. There's only one easy way to top off the camera's battery in-between dives, and Ikelite VP John Brigham shows you how he does it when he's out on the dive boat for an important shoot.

Charging Your Camera Between Dives
On a recent trip to the Dominican Republic, Ikelite's Vice President John Brigham and Video Producer Logan Wood logged multiple days shooting an on-location feature with the Indiana University Center for Underwater Sciences.
This meant multi-dive, long days on a boat without the luxury of recharging cameras back in a hotel room. That's when the advantage of our USB-C Charging & Data Transfer Bulkhead becomes particularly helpful.
Recharging your camera during surface intervals on a boat or on the shore is as simple as removing the cap off the USB-C Bulkhead and attaching your preferred power bank. Once your camera's battery is topped up just put the USB-C Bulkhead cap back on your housing and you're ready to get back in the water.

John Brigham recharges his camera while out on a boat in the Dominican Republic using the Ikelite USB-C Charging & Data Transfer Bulkhead.
Whether you're on a boat all day in need of a charge or you just simply want to save time, reduce stress, and avoid opening your housing, our USB-C Bulkhead makes this process incredibly easy and efficient.
Transferring Content From Your Camera
Once your dive day is over, or if you need to off-load photos or videos between dives, it's very simple to transfer content from your camera to your laptop without ever needing to open the housing.
Remove the cap from the USB-C Bulkhead, plug in your USB-C cord, and connect to your laptop or device. Then, you can drag and drop files just like you typically would.

John Brigham is the Vice President & head of product development at Ikelite. He was born with a flair for design and an entrepreneurial spirit as son of Ikelite founder Ike Brigham. He worked his way up in the business and is a natural fit in the R&D side of things. John dives the equipment as much as possible to test product and put himself in the "fins" of the user. You may also find him on the other end of an email or phone call when you reach out for product advice and support. When he's not underwater he's flying drones, setting off rockets, training his German Shepherd "T2", and spending time with his family.
