Yellowstone Invader | The Destruction of Non-Native Lake Trout

Yellowstone was established as the world's first national park in 1872. Yellowstone's ecosystems are among the most pristine remaining in the continental United States. 

The native Cutthroat Trout of Yellowstone National  are being threatened by non-native introduced lake trout that were brought into the park in the late 1800s and early 1900s. These highly predatory fish have drastically reduced the populations of native Cutthroat Trout.
