My name is Wendy and I am a full-time dive instructor in St. Lucia. I fell in love with underwater photography when I began my journey as an instructor.
My passion for diving and learning about the unique underwater creatures and fish got me into photography, as I want to make people see that there is more to the ocean than the scary things we hear about and see in movies.
I live on an island where there are not many avenues to learning about underwater photography. By not many, I mean the only avenue is the internet. Most everything I have learnt is self-taught through practice and also lots of videos and reading. I also would seek the advice of other photographers willing to share their wealth of knowledge.
I enjoy photographing a lot of macro and behavior shots. I love macro because so many people rarely notice the small organisms sustaining the bigger organisms.
I want to share my photography to show others in my situation that regardless of the limitations anything is possible through dedication and persistence.
