During a business trip to Hawaii 37 years ago Pearce Daley discovered his passion for scuba diving. Since then he has traveled to all 24 time zones teaching and photographing marine life. As a Course Director, Pearce and his wife Cheryl Applebaum (an IDC Staff Instructor) have taught thousands of new divers and instructors.
Originally Great Lakes divers, their travels have included liveaboards, dive resorts, and local Florida diving. Pearce’s photography has progressed from film to compact cameras to housed DSLRs. Pearce enjoys using his Canon 60D, twin DS161s, Canon 10-22mm domed lens and 60mm macro. Today he teaches underwater photography to students and instructors and belongs to a group of 70-and-over-year-old divers.
