Women Divers Hall of Fame (WDHOF®) opens applications for Scholarships and Training Grants.
Description
Nine categories of Scholarships are offered. Scholarships are intended to support independent research, field work, and conservation activities.
In particular, the Bonnie Cardone Memorial Scholarship for Ocean-Minded Content Creators aims to support women enrolled in degree-granting undergraduate or graduate programs in the U.S. or Canada studying photography, videography, or journalism. The scholarship is intended for tuition support, participation in a workshop, or an internship.
There are ten Training Grants available. Training grants provide funding for diving and dive-related underwater training.
The Advanced Dive Training - Underwater Photography training grant is for women of any age with Open Water (or equivalent) certification interested in learning underwater photography. Funds can be used to enroll in an underwater photography course and/or to purchase underwater photography equipment.
Applications require two letters of recommendation. Upon project or training completion a report detailing use of fund must be submitted through the grants portal.
Dates
Applications are open now through November 30, 2026 at 5pm (EST). Applicants will be notified in February 2027 with awards made in March 2027.
