Tomas Koeck is a New England Emmy-nominated filmmaker, Canon USA-backed photographer, speaker, environmentalist, and founder of Silent Fight Studios. His work centers on ocean and wildlife conservation initiatives through documentary filmmaking, communications, and nonprofit leadership. In simpler terms, he’s a storyteller, an environmentalist, and, most importantly, an optimist.

Tomas is the founder and director of Silent Flight Studios, an award-winning 501(c)(3) production company that specializes in natural history documentary production and impact campaigns. Through his work he has been on assignment for National Geographic, PBS and other networks covering animals from the Canadian Arctic covering polar bears to the rainforests of Central America chasing bird migrations.
Tomas currently serves as the resident filmmaker and Director of Film for the Atlantic Shark Institute and has served on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Audubon Society for more than five years. He's given lectures at universities including Sacred Heart University, University of Connecticut, and Yale University. His work helps communicate scientific research and conservation priorities to broader public audiences through visual storytelling and media outreach.
Tomas is especially passionate about using film and photography to bridge the gap between science and the public. He believes conservation stories become most effective when audiences can emotionally connect with the wildlife and environments being protected. Whether documenting marine research, biodiversity, or the people working to protect the ocean, his goal is to create work that inspires curiosity, stewardship, and meaningful conservation action.
