Canon Rebel SL3 Camera

The Canon Rebel SL3 is one of our all-time favorite cameras for shooting underwater, due to its combination of excellent image quality, lens selection, compact size, and battery life.

The SL3 features a 24MP CMOS sensor, DIGIC 7 processor, RAW image capture, and 4K UHD video recording. The standard Canon EF-type lens mount accepts some of the best lenses for underwater shooting including the Tokina 10-17mm Fisheye, Canon 60mm f/2.8 Macro, and Canon 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro.

The CIPA battery life rating of 1070 shots per charge is plenty to complete a full day of diving without opening the housing to change batteries. The battery life is easily 2-3 times that of a comparable compact mirrorless camera.

TrueTTL Strobe Exposure with the DS160

For most shooting scenarios underwater, the way to achieve the most consistent exposure is by setting your camera to Manual Exposure Mode (M Mode) and your strobe(s) to TTL. This allows you to set the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO on the camera to control exposure. Your camera then communicates its needs to the strobe and adjusts the strobe's power accordingly.

Built in TrueTTL circuitry allows the camera to communicate directly with the DS160 strobe and synchronize perfectly as if a Canon brand flash was attached.

The DS160 is a compact professional grade strobe with a warm color temperature and diffused beam pattern for superior wide angle photos. The included high-capacity rechargeable battery pack allows you to shoot more photos, faster than possible with even the best AA rechargeable batteries.

Dual strobes are recommended for stunning, evenly lit wide angle images. This strobe set-up is perfect for using either the kit lens or the awesome (and affordable) Tokina 10-17mm Fisheye.

200DLM/C Underwater Housing

Roughly half the size and weight of a traditional DSLR housing, the 200DLM/C underwater housing provides access to all important camera functions up to an operating depth of 200ft (60m). This model features all of the latest advancements in ergonomics including a trigger-style shutter lever, soft touch control knobs, and smooth action hard anodized aluminum push buttons.

This housing accepts ports from our DLM Port System to accommodate a selection of the best zoom, macro, and wide angle lenses for underwater use. Our custom optical grade acrylic domes components provide the color, clarity, and durability of glass at a fraction of the travel weight and cost.

The included Dome Port with Zoom # 5516.15 and Zoom Gear # 5515.11 allow zoom operation with the kit lens Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/4-5.6 STM. The port and zoom gear are interchangeable for use with other lenses. Refer to the port chart for complete compatibility information.

Simply add the Zoom Gear # 5515.12 to use the Tokina 10-17mm Fisheye lens. Add the Flat Port # 5516.50 to shoot the Canon EF-S 60mm Macro lens.

See the DLM/C Port Chart...

Vacuum Testing

A vacuum valve comes pre-installed on the housing. The included vacuum pump allows you to pressurize the housing to check for leaks prior to taking your equipment into the water.

Tray with Dual Quick Release Handles

This is the most popular tray and handle set-up and our favorite for compact systems. The Quick Release Handle features a cushy rubber over-molded grip and our signature quick detachment point for the included ball arm. The included trigger extension brings the shutter lever right to your fingertips when holding the right-hand handle.

Having a dual handle tray is great for carrying your system on the surface and makes it easier to grab onto when someone hands your housing down from a boat.

The included cable grip gives you a convenient way to carry the system on the surface when heading to the boat or a shore dive.

We manufacture, distribute, and support all of our products from our manufacturing facility in downtown Indianapolis, USA. The majority of our staff are divers and underwater photographers.
