The Ikelite housing includes a tray and Release Handle assembly that provides ballast for buoyancy control. The handle allows attaching and removing of optional strobes with the push of a button, and leverage to comfortably maneuver the strobe and housing underwater. These are extra cost items or simply not available on other housings. The heavy duty Ikelite housing operates safely to 200 foot depths. Some setting changes are difficult with this Olympus camera because it requires depressing one or even two buttons at the same time and turning a dial while reading the result in the monitor. This is a challenge underwater especially with gloves and/or a strobe to maneuver. The Ikelite "stay depressed when desired" controls are a unique solution. The housing includes a bulkhead to connect optional strobe sync cords. Choose the optional Manual Controller that provides 10 power settings with all DS model digital SubStrobes, OR these strobes can provide Olympus TTL automatic exposure dictated by the camera even in Super Macro Mode when attached with our #4103.51 or #4103.52 sync cords, identifiable by their blue band. The new conversion circuitry allows our digital SubStrobes to utilize the outstanding Olympus TTL system without wasting camera battery power and generating the heat of operating the camera built-in strobe. #4100.5 Wireless TTL Sensor and DS-125 Substrobe can be used with the older non-TTL #6130.51 housings. See these special instructions. This is a realistically priced rugged and capable housing system with a commitment to company service like nobody else provides... Nobody! |
