"There are those that thought a roast or a lynching might have been more appropriate. The award was flattering and also embarrassing considering the accomplishments of industry super stars like Bob Hollis, Allen Uke, and Dave Parker."

Ikelite is comprised of about sixty super people. Many of them have been here over 25 years. They have persevered under a "Head Lite" operating with "one burned out filament."

The irony goes back to when Archimedes and Ike were in school together. Ike has always been bitter because Archimedes got all the credit for the buoyancy experiments they conducted together. Archimedes may have his buoyancy principal, but he does not have one of these awards.
