Wireless TTL slave sensor for above water ![]() The greater range and ability of the Lite-Link to operate in high ambient light levels are distinct advantages, especially to nature photographers, compared to the Nikon SU-4 which requires TTL to be disabled for maximum range. Minolta wireless flash system is also less sensitive than the Lite-Link, especially in high ambient light levels; and the Lite-Link does not limit shutter speed to 1/60th. |

![]() The Lite-Link provides TTL compatibility with more versatility than a dual sync cord. The TTL strobe attached to the Lite-Link is tripped just like with any good slave sensor. The unbelievable capability is the Lite-Link instructs its attached strobe to quench when it sees the strobe attached to the camera quench, maintaining perfect TTL compatibility. Several Lite-Links may be used for multiple flash photography. The Lite-Link is available in models for either Nikon or Canon compatible TTL strobes. The strobe connected to the Lite-Link will be TTL compatible when fired by the on-camera TTL flash of ANY manufacturer. * The Lite-Link turns on automatically when it senses the ready-light of its attached Nikon or Canon TTL strobe. A manual "on" switch is also provided to allow use of almost any TTL strobe that is Nikon or Canon compatible; i.e. it operates TTL when attached to a Nikon or Canon camera. |
![]() You can change aperture or exposure compensation in the middle of a shoot and the flash connected to the Lite-Link adjusts as well. The question of whether the slave flash will be the main light or a fill flash is easily answered by its placement. Close to the subject it will give the highest percentage of the total light and be the main light source. If you want the slave flash to be a simple fill to add light into the shadow areas of the image, move it farther away or add some neutral density material over the front of the slave flash. Any change in Flash Mode settings (Manual, Repeating or Non-TTL Auto) to the "on-camera" flash will also be emulated automatically by the TTL Slave flash. For even greater distance or shooting around corners, attach a Nikon SC-17 cord to the Nikon Slave and then to the Nikon compatible Lite-Link. |
