Auto 35md System Design

This is a well designed housing and camera system that provides faster and easier film reloading than a waterproof camera because it allows removing a dry camera from the wet housing. The housing opens and closes instantly with very little concern over the "O" ring except that it is in the proper place because of our trouble free seal design. The housing design culminates many years of experience. The system combines total simplicity with almost no maintenance, and is complimented by the availability of a full line of optional accessories. The special Ikelite Superview 35mm camera features a wide angle 28mm 3-element glass lens system which is an ideal choice for underwater photography. The camera is also very capable above water. A water correcting lens is included inside the housing to eliminate the possibility of trapping air bubbles inherent to an external lens system. This lens provides correct focus in the 2 - 6 foot range underwater. Most fixed focus cameras can not focus correctly in this important underwater range. The water correcting lens snaps out of the housing for easy cleaning or use of the housing above or below water. Availability of optional accessories that provide added versatility and expanded capability is an important feature to avoid future limitations.
