Our new housings for the Olympus C-5050, C-5060, C-7070 and C-8080 digital cameras include special conversion circuitry to utilize the outstanding Olympus TTL system without wasting camera battery power and generating the heat of operating the camera built-in strobe. This is real Olympus TTL control with a sync cord, allowing all current DS model Ikelite digital SubStrobes to provide Olympus TTL automatic exposure as dictated by the camera even in super macro mode when attached with a single #4103.51 or #4103.52 dual sync cord which can be identified by their blue band. Other systems duplicate the TTL by "watching" the camera. These can be no brighter than the little strobe in the camera because both stop flashing when the little strobe has exhausted all of its energy. The new TTL circuitry is also included in our C-750, and C-5000 housings. Old #6130.51 housings can be sent to Ikelite for installation of the new TTL conversion circuitry. Cost for this service is $150 plus freight. Also required is the $100 #4103.51 single or $160 #4103.52 dual sync cord, identifiable with their blue band. |
