Frequently Asked Questions
Fuji Endeavor-10 camera availability?
The Aquashot 3e system and Fuji Endeavor camera have been discontinued and are no longer available.
What is an APS camera?
Advanced Photo System utilizes a film canister that looks very much like 35mm, but does not require threading the film onto the take-up spool. The cartridge drops into the camera and loading is done automatically.
What are the three format selections?
The pictures can be in three different formats. The choices are standard Classic size, Horizontal which is slightly wider, and Panoramic which is very wide. Any combination of these can be taken on the same roll of film. The housing does not provide a means of changing the selection. The Macro framer is for standard Classic format.
Is the APS negative size smaller than 35mm?
Yes, but not appreciably smaller. The difference will have no adverse affects on picture quality. Convenience and ease of use are definite advantages.
What is the difference in the AquaShot 3 and 3e housings?
The AquaShot 3e housing has no film advance control because the camera features motorized film advance. Other differences include tray placement and shutter release orientation. A #9436.40 kit that can be installed in a few minutes is available for conversion from either model to the other.
Conversion requirements between AquaShot 3 and 3e housings:
Remove one screw to interchange film advance control or hole plug. Remove one screw to flip the shutter release lever over. Pull camera tray off housing front, rotate 180 degrees, and push it back into place.
Is the housing adaptable to other cameras:
No. The Aquashot 3e housing was only compatible with the Fuji Endeavor-10 (Fotonex-10 in Europe and Asia). These cameras are no longer available.
