April 18, 2008 ......... BahamasPhotos by Jonathan Bird Our good friend and well versed photographer Jonathan Bird has just recently returned from two weeks of snapping shark photos in the Bahamas. Everyone achieved spectacular results with the advice of Jonathan and fellow photo pro Marty Snyderman. Lemons, Tigers, a Bull, a Hammerhead and a few Caribbean reef sharks rounded out an impressive collection of our favorite predators. With that many sharks in the water, it's good to have a camera nearby. And boy did they! Six Ikelite dSLR housings, fourteen Substrobe DS-125's and two Ikelite video housings were up to the challenge and everyone went home happy with lots of photos and video to share with friends.
Spring is upon us at last, and I know you're thinking about your next dive vacation. It's time to dust off the old equipment and visit your local dive shop to see the new equipment you can't dive without. We'll be announcing the latest housing models weekly over the next couple of months so keep checking the What's New section as well! We're gearing up for Ikelite Demo Days at Sunset House in Grand Cayman this June. The event is going to be a great time, with lots of camera equipment, seminars, photo tips and of course diving! The boats are full this year but keep us in mind when you're planning for 2009.
Later in June we'll be showing off at the Scuba Show in Long Beach, CA. There will be plenty of product out for you to put your hands on, as well as a couple of our lovely staff with the answers to all your questions. So if you're in the neighborhood make sure to stop by Booth #237.
That's all for now...... We'll see you underwater! Make friends with Jonathan Bird. | ||
