I was certified in 1983, did not dive for 15 years. Was recertified with my wife in 1995 and have logged a total of 160 dives.
I took this picture in Little Cayman in May. It was our first dive of the year, Cumber's Caves. We had just made our way up from the wall, when we saw this turtle. Surprisingly, he let us get very close and then just stopped, as if he was posing for me to take his picture. It was too good to be true, particularly given all the turtle butt shots I had taken in the past. The photograph now hangs in my office and in my home.
