My first diving experience took place in Hawaii on the island of Maui. After that I was hooked. I got certified in 1993 in Montery CA.
I took this picture diving off Cayman Brac. I had absolutely no gear on when someone on the boat spotted the Manta. I quickly threw on my gear and jumped in just in time to see the Manta gracefully glide under my feet. Myself and the others in my group followed the Manta for some time allowing me to capture several great pictures of the Manta - including the one I'm entering in the contest.
