"Night Ray"

On my first night dive I became quite frustrated with the awkward switching of light and camera. I thought to myself there's got to be a better way. So I worked on a method of attaching my small "PC Lite" to my strobe with velcro straps. This involved aiming and setting up of the light to hit the center of the frame at around 4 to 6 feet. The next night on my second night dive I tried my strobe/PC Lite combo. It worked great and I had thoughts of patents pending running through my dreams. Later I was to discover from a client and friend who is a published U/W photographer that everyone uses modeling lights. This light/strobe combo paid off on my following trip with Blackbeard's. I used the light both at night and day.
A beautiful Southern Ray was caught above the reef on a great night dive. Without the modeling light attached to my AQ/S Substrobe, I would not have been able to follow and center the picture so well. The dive was located off Chub Cay at a dive site called Yellow Bar.
