We were 17 miles out of San Diego and started chumming for sharks. It only took 3 minutes. Blue Sharks were there so we suited up and jumped into the deep blue water of the Pacific, and headed for the cage.
Before I knew it I was out of film in my Aquashot II. But thinking ahead, I had talked to the boat captain and given him another Fun Saver camera before the dive started and asked him to reload my Aquashot for me. I handed my camera to the feeder and pointed up to the surface. In full chainmail, he took it up to the surface and the captain took out the used camera and installed the next one. The he handed it back to the feeder, who handed my Aquashot back to me through the window.
I don't know of any other camera system where you can do an unload and reload without ever getting out of a shark cage. Thank you very much for such a great photo idea.
